Well, as you may know, we are members of the Church of Latter-Day Saints. In our church, the members are given callings to support, help and lead the fellow members. We have an organization called the Relief Society. This is made of up the women/sisters of the church. Each ward/branch has its own presidency to take care of the sisters in their area.
Well, I was shocked when the President of the branch came over and told me what a great job I was doing as a teacher and a compassionate service coordinator and then that everyone had noticed and said I was doing a good job with my callings. Without a breath he said but we are releasing you from that.
Me thinking I did something wrong wanted to cry. I wanted to run to my room and think about what I could have done. But, I stayed strong and sat there listening. At this point, he said that the new relief society president has felt the impression to have me be her first councilor. I was shocked and relieved at the same time. I said yes I would be blessed to have this calling. At this point, he said that the new relief society president has felt the impression to have me be her first councilor. Click To Tweet
A New Beginning
Here we are about a week later and it’s all set in. I have huge responsibilities now. What will I do? How can I do this? Are they sure they want me to take on this? All of these questions pop in my head whenever I am working on something. I do however have a strong peace when I am wondering these things, so I know it is the adversary working on my weaknesses.
So because of this, I will be focusing on tons more on scripture, family history, and church things. So I will be sharing some ideas that we are doing as well as things I am learning with you. I hope you stick around and find these helpful.I will be focusing on tons more on scripture, family history, and church things. So I will be sharing some ideas Click To Tweet
